The Alberta Living Wage Network will be providing employer certification starting this summer

Over the past few months, our team at the Alberta Living Wage Network has been working on calculating new living wages for municipalities across the province. We have a new methodology and we’re excited to report that we’ll be kicking off our new certification program in the summer of 2021.

Over the pandemic we’ve seen disproportionate impacts to the lowest wage earners in the province. Many of these people were front line workers that risked their health and their families’ health to ensure Albertans had groceries and packages delivered.

Our new living wages reflect on what it actually costs to live in a province like Alberta and we’re excited to share this information with employers across the province as part of our new certification program.
